Q: I have 3 duis which is a misdemeanor in kentuckt thats where my charges are i have pled to them and have had time served also I'm a resident of florida now and i have a total fine of 1490 dollars which im paying in full the first of the year i want to get my florida license im wondering if i will have to go in front of a judge or anything before i am able to get my license or anything i am wondering how it would work between states kentucky to florida if i am eligible for my license by that time. Answered . No. You will not have to appear before a Judge. However, you will have to appear before DMV - which is far worse than the worst of the Judges.
FL will not license you until you have satisfied all of your obligations in KY. AND, FL will require you to provide proof of completion of DUI schools which would comport with those that are required in FL (Levels 1,2,& 3).
When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is: "Don't do it! Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI".
Be smart: Don't drink and drive, but, if you do, just say "NO{thing}", don't blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220, **ARRESTED, **305DUI, **MIAMIDUI, **MIAMILAW or **HABERLAW.
