Why do Cops always ask if I've been Drinking when I get Stopped? ~ Best Answer on AVVO ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Q:     Why the cops asking me if I was drinking each time they stop me?  First of all I do not consume liquor or do drugs.  But the cops always ask me if I been drinking.  This happened each and every time I'm stopped.  I just wonder if the police have something in their data base that shows them a heads up.  And by the way . I never had a DUI.  Is there any way to find out, I started to get suspicious when I was stopped last week for an expired tag and the cop told me.  So you on the beach to have some drinks ?  I was just shocked. This was not the first time cops ask me that, I even get tested more then 5 time the past year . Please help.  Thank you

Answered Why are you shocked?

Cops ask questions like that. Its what they do.

You are free to answer or not. If you haven't been drinking and do not touch drugs then there is no harm and no foul.

Let us know if they {falsely} arrest you. Then we can help.
