Teacher / Sound Engineer / Pedophile Gets Ratted Out By the Computer Tech that he hired to Wipe his Hard Drive.

Meet James Rivers, a 57 y/o audio engineer, veteran rock group tourer and 26 year audio class teacher at the Art Institute of Seattle.... oh yeah, how could I forget, he's also a degenerate scumbag pedophile....

Normally I am not supportive of "rats"... people who, for their own gain, inform on others to law enforcement.  Although I have historically assisted a few clients through that process, I have also all but phased that component out of my practice, leaving it to other lawyers who are okay with climbing into bed - as a figurative sex slave - with our perverse government.  

Still, there is another form of snitch, the so-called "Dudley Do-Right", who has no case / sentence to work off, and who provides information to the man for other reasons (revenge, playing cop, playing with cops, getting paid or just because it is the right thing to do, as in this case...).

So Jimbo here, perv that he is, has been a bad boy (and husband), secretly recording little girls going potty.  The "how", "where" and "why" of it is unknown, but apparently he confessed, after he was ratted out buy the computer tech whom he had hired to wipe his hard drive, lest his wife should discover what she already suspected, to wit: that she was married to a sick f*cking pedophile.

According to the charging document in his case, Jimbo "went to great lengths to destroy evidence of his exploitation and possession of depictions of images of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct."  

Memo to the computer tech who was so disturbed by what he saw on Jimbo's computer that he contacted the FBI:  Well played Sir, well played.  By all objective standards Jimbo presents as a normal guy.  On the outside there's no reason why one wouldn't invite him over for a BBQ, much less worry about what outrageous thoughts were swirling around in his cesspool of a mind when one's daughter walked past.  You did a good deed assisting in getting this sick f*ck off the streets.  I do not hold anything against you or your ethics.

Memo to would be rats / snitches / CIs:  Unless you are doing it for altruistic purposes, SNITCHES GET STITCHES. Don't be a rat or the Goodfella's boogeyman will get 'cha. 

Memo to James Rivers:  If you want something done right then do it yourself.  If I were you I would consider some sort of incapacity defense - and I'm not talking the crap you tried to sell the cops (during his confession Jimbo is alleged to have said that 'at the time' he was on medication and had drunk wine which caused him to black out during the incidents... uh huh, that'll work... NOT!); something along the lines of being too stupid to form the requisite criminal intent.  Forgetting how sick one must be to do what you did in the first place, how freaking dumb do you have to be to do what you did in trying to cover it up?  You may actually be too stupid for prison... nah... they'll love you in there (the law of the 3 "p"'s - Pedophiles in Prison are Popular).
