FL Woman Arrested for Elder Abuse After Boca Raton Dog Poop Dispute ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet 57 y/o Boca Raton, FL retiree Amy Goldberg.  That's her mug shot below...

Amy resides in the otherwise peaceful Woodfield Country Club community, pictured below, where homes range from $300,000.00 to several million dollars.

While neither the Hatfields nor the McCoys call Woodfield home, it seems that Amy and her neighbor, an unnamed 67 y/o woman, have their own little feud going on, and this battle starts and ends with the neighbor's dog and it's poop.

According to the elderly neighbor, after her dog had done it's business on Amy's lawn, and as she was about to scoop up the poop into a plastic baggie, a hysterical Amy came running out of her home "screaming and yelling" for the neighbor to "clean it up".  According to the elderly neighbor, who was about to do just that, instead she threw the bag at Amy the Irate stating "you clean it up".  It is undisputed that Amy scooped up the poop with the plastic baggie but what happened next is the subject of some dispute.

Per the elderly neighbor, Amy the Irate "hurled it [at me] after a chase", and then grabbed what was left of the pooch's poop and smeared it on her neighbor's arms and face.  Per Amy she did throw the fido-feces in her neighbor's direction but she maintains that she never touched the older woman.   As to the "how" of it (how the dog feces got on the 67 y/o neighbor's arms and face) Amy told police that before the cops had arrived on scene the neighbor had smeared the animal waste on herself to frame Amy for the attack as they had a long history of bad blood.

Unfortunately for Amy the Palm Beach County Sheriff didn't buy her smelly story...

Or is that...

As Amy was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail, charged with Battery on a Person 65 years or Older, which is a 3rd degree felony (punishable by up to five (5) years in state prison and a $10,000.00 fine) and which carries a three (3) year day-for-day minimum mandatory term of imprisonment.   When you tack on the arrest, the booking process, the legal process, lawyer's fees, time, effort, energy, aggravation, distraction, etc. that's a big price tag for a little revenge.  Memo to Amy:
