Meet 47 y/o Stanley Geddie (mug shot below)...
Stan has earned his ranks amongst the dumbest would-be bank robbers ever. (Memo to Stan, next time, if there is a next time, do your homework first ---> READ a book...)
On Wednesday, March 25th, 2015 Stan showed up at a Capital City Bank in Tallahassee, FL (this one in fact...)...
Stan located the Bank Manager, told him that he had a .357 handgun and C4 plastic explosives and demanded $100,000.00. Suspicious tellers called the cops while Stan and the Manager were inside of the Manager's office behind closed doors, and that's where Stan was when cops arrived. Police claim that Stan appeared "very intoxicated and spaced out" and say that Stan wouldn't follow their commands, prompting them to Taser him.
As it turns out Stan had neither a gun nor any explosives, but he was wearing two (2) pairs of pants, one on top of the other, so as to facilitate his "escape" with the loot. It also turns out that Stan had arrived at the bank by way of taxi, racking up a $25.50 fare which he did not pay, advising the driver that he would pay him when he exited the bank. As that didn't occur Stan earned himself an additional petty theft charge from his angry-cabbie-victim on top of his robbery (which should be downgraded to an attempt) and resisting arrest charges (begging the additional "Memo to the Folks" NOT to piss off your cab driver...). Stan is also being held on a couple of probation violations (for what I don't know).
