After Seeing "Single" Status on Facebook, Neighbor's Dog Tells Man to Shoot his Ex-Girlfriend ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet 48 y/o Matthew Gonzalez.  That's his mugshot below.

Matt is in a New Mexico jail for shooting his ex-girlfriend on Tuesday, March 10th, 2015, after seeing her social media update which had changed her Facebook relationship status to "single". (Actually Matt's charges are Kidnapping, Aggravated Domestic Battery, Robbery, Child Abuse / Abandonment, Aggravated Domestic Assault, Aggravated Domestic Assault with intent to Commit a Violent Felony and Auto Theft.)

Apparently things went south from there as a subsequent discussion between Matt and his neighbor's dog (species unknown) about the relationship status change resulted in (or so Albuquerque authorities state that Matt had claimed) the neighbor's dog telling Matt t shoot his ex-girlfriend.

Yes, really, you read that right.  And just in case you doubt me, dear reader, below is the police report (and if you can't read it clearly enough then you can do so here)....

According to the report Albuquerque police were dispatched to the scene of a woman lying on the ground with an apparent gunshot wound to her head.  She was alive and conscious and reported that her ex-boyfriend had arrived at her home that morning and was arguing with her.  She then told police that because her family was at her home at the time she got into a car to discuss things with her ex-boyfriend so as not to upset them.  She said that he drove her short distance and the next thing she remembered was that she was lying on the ground on the street. (Note that the pic below is an illustration and is NOT from this incident.)

Albuquerque cops found Matt at the Legacy Church, where he had supposedly admitted to his pastor that he shot his ex-girlfriend.  When police confronted Gonzales, he waived his Miranda Rights and said that his neighbor has a dog that communicates with him.  Matt said that he was angry about his ex-girlfriend announcing that she was single and his neighbor's dog told him that "you need to take care of this".  Matt told police that he had initially planned on ending his own life in front of his girlfriend so that she would "know how he felt" about her single status on Facebook.  Matt told them cops that he drove to his sister's house to borrow a gun and that he took the gun to his ex-girlfriend’s house where he arrived unannounced.  He stated that she and her 10 y/o daughter exited the house as he demanded and insisted that his ex-girlfriend get into his car and that her daughter go to the neighbor's house.  "Don’t make me drag you into the car" he reportedly said, and then he pulled a gun from his pocket and his ex-girlfriend fearfully obliged.  Matt said that as he drove his ex-girlfriend was "freaking out and shaking". At one point, when the ex-girlfriend saw Matt staring into oncoming traffic she opened the door and tried to get out of the car.  At that point Matt, with a gun in his right pocket, allegedly tried to grab her and he also discharged his gun one time.  She fell to the ground and he then drove to the Mesa to commit suicide, but after calling his boss, he was advised to talk to his pastor. Well, then...  Memo to Matt:
