Man Ties heavy Bowling Ball Bag Around Border Collie's Neck & Throws Her in River to Drown ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Sick F'ing {alleged} Human who Brutally Murdered Border Collie & Fled is Caught!


Take a look at the face of evil:




That is 47 y/o William Meek who, if anyone ever did, deserves a little Machiavelli-styled poetic eye-for-an-eye justice (Chuck Norris can impose sentence as well...).




It is alleged that William had taken possession of "Zelda", his girlfriend's 12 y/o Border Collie, whom he was asked to surrender to a shelter.  However, instead of delivering the pooch to the authorities it seems that William found it more prudent to tie a bowling ball around the dog's neck and toss her into a river.  (Yes, you read that right.)




The dog's corpse was found floating in the river, and a microchip in the dog's body led them to William's girlfriend, who explained where the dog had last been seen.  William, who has priors related to methamphetamine and resisting arrest, apparently tossed the pooch and fled Sacramento, CA for Reno, NV, in an apparent attempt to avoid being served with a warrant on an outstanding drug charge.

William was apprehended by Reno Police vis-a-vis a citizen tip a few weeks after the dogs body had been recovered.  Sacramento cops pieced together what had happened and a warrant (a second warrant) was issued for William's arrest, this time for  "malicious maiming of animals" - or, more accurately, for William's apparent role in having tied a bowling bag, which contained a bowling ball and a large rock, onto Zelda's leash, which was attached to her collar, and then throwing the dog, alive and well, into the water to drown.




The necropsy confirmed that Zelda was alive when she entered the river and that she drowned, suffering trauma to her neck, presumably from her struggle to free herself from the weight which pulled her down under.  I don't know if William is guilty of this crime or not but I do know that anyone who could do something like this deserves to suffer a similar fate.




There is a special place reserved in Hell for animal abusers, and an even deeper darker ring for anyone demented enough to do what was done to Zelda.  




RIP Zelda!
