Answered Unless (and to some extent even though you may be able to) you can repay the $7,900.00 quickly then you are in a world of trouble. You are facing multiple counts of theft (grand or petit), fraud and possibly a scheme to defraud.

I have 3 pieces of advise for you:

1) Start socking away money. Beg and borrow if you have to but you will need to gather restitution monies if you do not have them, not to mention legal fees.

2) Do not post anything else about what you did or did not do in this matter on-line. Anything that you post on Avvo (or similar sites) or on any social media is by its nature public. It is essentially an admission / confession and can be introduced into evidence as a statement against your interest in a subsequent legal proceeding. Once posted you lose any reasonable expectation of privacy, and as this is an open forum there is no attorney client privilege attached, so be careful (forewarned is forearmed.)

3) Get yourself into a Tallahassee criminal defense attorney's office as soon as possible. Although I practice primarily in Miami-Dade County you are welcome to contact my office for a referral or two, or you can search the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers website by locality (please seehttp://www.facdl.org/ - and click on the "Find A Lawyer" tab).
Wishing you luck and hoping that I have been helpful in answering your question.

No attorney-client relationship exists by virtue of any Q&A on Avvo. Anything that you post on Avvo (or similar sites) or on any social media is by its nature public.
