Young Man Celebrating Promotion Gets Drunk, Takes Cab Home, Pulls Over to Vomit, Exits Cab, Stumbles into Road, Gets Hit & Killed by Bus ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Sometimes bad luck and trouble follow you even if you seemingly do the right thing...

Luis Inoa, age 23 (and pictured below), had been having drinks at a bar in Inwood, NY on Friday September 18th, 2015 celebrating his promotion at Nickelodeon when he responsibly decided to get a cab home in the early hours of the morning.

Luis was just two (2) blocks from his home in the Bronx when he asked the driver to stop so he could vomit.  The driver obliged, stopping on the corner of West 231st Street and Kingsbridge Avenue close to a bus stop.

In a horrific moment of bad luck at that precise moment the "BX1" bus happened to be approaching and, according to the local MTA Union boss, the driver watched as the cab door opened in front of him.  As Luis climbed out of the cab and vomited the bus swerved into the other lane to avoid him.  However, Luis then suddenly stumbled further into the road and was hit by the right rear wheel of the bus, dying then and there at the scene.

Luis' father, Andres Inoa, said of his son that he was "happy" and that he didn't deserve what happened to him.

Luis' uncle, Elvis Rubiera, described his nephew as "dynamic, classy, with style and decency.  With him goes a piece of our hearts."

The bus driver stayed on scene (as did the cabbie) reportedly has a clean record and has never been involved in a pedestrian accident before, proving that, right, wrong or indifferent, accident's can, do and will happen.

By all accounts Luis did everything right - as did the cabbie and bus driver. I suppose that that sometimes bad things just happen.  All you can do is to...

When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is:  "Don't do it!  Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI".

Be smart{like Luis Inoa}: Don't drink and drive, but, if you do, just say "NO{thing}", don't blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220 or 1-888-SHARK-8-1.
