On Monday, September 7th, 2015, coincidentally Labor Day, 31 y/o Ashley Cecilia Castaneda (pictured below) gave birth... to a handgun. Bear with me...
This is one of those you have to see it to believe it stories, so I did my due diligence, fact-checked and efforted at debunking, yet in the end it appears to be as true as George Washington chopping down the cherry tree. Yes, the female arrestee in the case that I am about to describe did in fact have a fully loaded Smith and Wesson .22 caliber semi-automatic handgun (the exact make and model shown below) secreted inside of her vagina.
At approximately 11:00 pm on Labor Day Waco, Texas Police Officers stopped a 1998 Toyota Land Rover being driven by 30 y/o Gabriel Garcia (who's mug shot appears below). For reasons unknown (and on unknown constitutional authority - although dollars to donuts it was a "consensual search", wink wink, nudge nudge) Garcia was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine after 2.7 grams of Meth was discovered concealed under his driver’s seat.
Shortly afterward an additional 29.5 grams of Methamphetamine was discovered (again on unknown constitutional authority - although dollars to donuts it was a "consensual search", wink wink, nudge nudge) in 31 y/o Ashley Cecilia Castaneda's purse, together with a set of digital weighing scales, leading to her arrest on the same possession charges (Ashley's mug shot appears below).
On the way to the jail Ashley told her transporting officer that she had a handgun concealed inside of her vagina, prompting an immediate search by a female officer who discovered that Ashley wasn't lying. In fact, the weapon had a round chambered and a full magazine of bullets.
No, that x-ray is not of Ashley's insides, but it does go to show that she is not the first person (and she won't be the last) to have chosen such a, er, personal, hiding spot.
Whoa Nelly... That's a big one! Not to be flippant or anything but unless Ashley had a valid conceal / carry permit she could also pick up an unlawful firearms possession charge. Regardless, by volunteering the fact that she was in, er, possession, at least she avoided an additional felony charge for introducing contraband into a jail facility. Memo to Ashley:
