VA Teen gets Arrested for Impersonating a Police Officer when he tries to "Pull Over" a "Real" Off-Duty Police Officer ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet 18 y/o Joshua R Rosene, a seemingly "normal" Virginia teenager.  That's a pic from his Facebook page below....

On Sunday, August 30th, 2015 Josh had posted a picture to Facebook (which you can see below) of himself and Scott Walker, GOP Presidential candidate.

But later that day (well, actually in the early morning hours of the following day - at about 12:30 am on Monday, August 31st, 2015) another and more ominous picture of Josh, seemingly donning the same shirt that he was wearing at the Walker rally, was posted, except this time it wasn't Josh posting to Facebook, rather it was the Prince William County, VA Police Department posting it to their collection of mug shots...

Why?  Because Josh was arrested for impersonating law enforcement when he tried to stop / pull over another driver who turned out to be a real life police officer.  Per the Prince William County Police Josh was driving his blue Pontiac G6 at about 12:30 am on Monday when he turned on hard-wired blue flashing lights and attempted to stop / pull over another vehicle which just so happened to have been being driven by a real world off-duty police officer.  The officer / driver reportedly said that he thought that the vehicle behind him looked suspicious, so rather than pulling over for the flashing lights, he himself called the police.

When the driver / officer failed to pull over for, er, Josh, Josh reportedly turned off his flashing lights and sped away, but not before the driver / off-duty officer was able to get Josh's vehicle's license plate number.  The off-duty officer / driver then followed Josh until other officers arrived to conduct a traffic stop and figure out what was happening.  Prince William County Police spokesman Nathaniel J Probus stated that police have not learned of any other traffic stops that Josh may have attempted before the incident.

Memo to Josh:  If you wanna be a cop then go to the police academy, graduate and get your law enforcement certificate.  If you wan to pretend to be a cop then wait until Halloween, get a Woody costume and go at it.  I don't know about Virginia (I', not licensed there and cannot comment on matters of VA law or procedure) but in Florida you would be facing a felony for impersonating as well as a misdemeanor for misuse of police paraphernalia.  At 18 you are the youngest possible (barring emancipation) adult and you have managed to start your adult life with poor judgment and an arrest. Way to go... NOT!

Memo to the Folks:  Unless you are 100% certain that an unmarked vehicle, even if it has lights, sirens, or both, which is trying to pull you over is in fact a legitimate police vehicle (which is hard to imagine how you could possibly know - as you can see from Josh any ass-clown or worse (like a would be robber / carjacker) - can "rig" a car to look like a police vehicle) you should NOT stop.  Instead, dial 911 and let dispatch know what is happening.  If it is a legitimate police vehicle then they will tell you and if not then they will dispatch officers to the scene.  Its better to be safe than {robbed, raped, killed...} sorry.
