On Sunday, August 2nd, 2015 Akron, OH police were dispatched to a residence where a one (1) y/o toddler was reportedly observed sitting on the front lawn by himself munching on a charcoal briquette.
Police had to bang on the home's front door at approximately 1:00 pm to stir the sleeping occupants, 25 y/o Heather Sandau (the toddler's mom) and her beau, convicted 25 y/o felon Nicolas Anton. That is their mug shots below...
Inside the home cops discovered a most of meth lab (they had many of the chemicals used for methamphetamine as well as a small quantity of the drug itself, syringes and other paraphernalia), resulting in the arrest of these shining examples of what NOT to do as a parent / guardian.
The pair of "adults" have been charged with two (2) first degree felony counts of illegally possessing chemicals used for making methamphetamine, one (1) second degree felony count of child endangering and also with one (1) count of felony drug possession. The toddler was taken into custody by Summit County, Ohio Children Services.
I don't know if mom has any priors but her beau reportedly has an extensive criminal background which includes (but is not limited to) having served ten (10) months in jail in 2011 for theft, another ten (10) months in jail in 2014 for aggravated possession of methamphetamine and forging checks and an eight (8) month prison sentence in 2013 for attacking "an acquaintance" at a Circle K gas station. With that backdrop (her choice of make role models for her baby), and considering the fact that she was crashed out cold at 1:00 pm on a Sunday afternoon in a home meth lab which was choc full of dangerous chemicals and syringes and adding on the predatory and dietary dangers facing her one (1) y/o toddler hanging out on the front lawn without supervision, the silver lining for Heather is that she may be the next cover girl for.....
As for the meth issue, that stuff is just plain poison. Exhibit "A": Once again here is Heather's mug shot...

Memo to Heather: Do you really wan to go there? To become that? Is this what you want for your kid? Wake up! Have some coffee. Get away from the meth. Oh, and dump the loser.
