Jake Lloyd (a/k/a "Young" Anakin Skywalker) is Arrested in SoCar for Multiple Driving Related Offenses ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

The Force was NOT with Jake Lloyd when he was arrested in Charleston, South Carolina on Saturday, June 21st, 2015 pursuant to a rampant car chase which ended in a crash.  Jake's mugshot is below...

Now 26 y/o Jake, who was the child actor who famously played the young Anakin Skywalker in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace in 1999, certainly has fallen a long long distance from a galaxy far far away.  (He also apparently operates an "X-wing" fighter better than he does a 21st century Earth automobile.)

Prior to playing Anikin Jake had played young Jamie Langston along side of Arnold Schwarzenegger  and Sinbad in the 1996 film Jingle All the Way.  (His only other acting credit was for was for the 2005 movie Madison, starring Jim Caviezel, which had actually been filmed in 2000, and which 13 people on Earth actually watched).

Sadly, as of Saturday, June 21st anyhow, Jake now seems to be just another failed child actor who apparently believes that the law is beneath him.  Below is a picture of Jake signing autographs at ComicCon (actually I do not know that the pic is from ComicCon - but it certainly does appear to be some sort of SciFi / StawWars "event"... or maybe it's just Jake and a sharpie and an Anakin blow-up at a local Dennys... who knows).   What I do know is that Jake was just 10 years old when he shot to instant fame after securing the iconic role of Anakin Skywalker in the 1999 prequel to the original Star Wars trilogy.  Following his brush with fame, Jake reportedly quit acting altogether claiming that the role had made his childhood a "living hell.'  In a 2012 interview Jake said:  "Other children were really mean to me.  They would make the sound of the light saber every time they saw me. It was totally mad.  My entire school life was really a living hell, and I had to do up to 60 interviews a day."

In the interim, SoCar cops observed Jake driving in a "reckless fashion" (which was more specifically described as "passing cars on the double yellow line and was driving recklessly, at high speeds"), they tried to stop him and Jake, well, he declined their invitation for a roadside party.  Per Sheriff's Deputies a car chase ensued and went on for miles, even continuing in another county, before Jaked lost control of his car and ran off the road, with his vehicle plowing through a fence and into a wooded area where it struck several trees.  Jake was arrested for reckless driving, failure to stop (in Florida "failure to stop" is called "fleeing and eluding" and is a felony offense), resisting arrest and driving without a license.  Memo to Jake:  Hopefully you socked away enough do-re-mi to hire a skilled, experienced and a creative criminal defense lawyer who will employ some savvy forensic experts to assist in casting blame for your SoCar indiscretion squarely upon George Lucas' broad shoulders.  It is obvious that you were traumatized from your experience with Jar-Jar-Binks, as was I and as were millions of folks who, even decades later, easily could have had such a horrific, predictable and almost allergic reaction to the highly anticipated but poorly received script.
