PA Bank Robber gets Arrested 14 Minutes after the Robbery while Eating Chicken & Biscuits at a Restaurant 2 blocks from the Bank
Shane pled guilty and was sentenced on Wednesday, June 17th, 2015 for committing a bank robbery at the Citizens Bank in downtown New Kensington on January 14, 2015.
Witnesses at the scene (at the bank) described seeing a bald man matching Lindsey's description run towards Eazer's Restaurant & Deli immediately after the heist.
Police knew that the business (Eazer's) had surveillance video so they walked over and went inside to view it hoping for clues as to where the robber went, but instead, a mere fourteen (14) minutes after the robbery, cops found Lindsey sitting in a booth eating chicken and biscuits.
Police recovered the coat and hood that Lindsey wore during the robbery in Eazer's bathroom. Upon questioning Lindsey reportedly told police that he needed the money because he had recently lost his job and "doesn't have anything going for him". Thanks to Westmoreland County Judge Debra A. Pezze, Lindsey does not have to worry about rent, utilities, insurance or food for the next two (2) to four (4) years.
