Epic purse snatching FAIL! ~ Man gets beat down from senior citizens instead of a 68 y/o woman's purse. / Michael A. Haber, Esq. ~ Ca'' **ARRESTED or **MIAMIDUI

Meet 45 y/o Larry Kent (yeah, that's his most recent mug shot below), one of Polk County, Florida's finest degenerate scumbags.

Prior to this past Christmas Day (December 26th, 2014) Larry, a convicted felon who has served state prion time,  had amassed a meager seventeen (17) prior Polk County arrests (for matters ranging from battery to forgery to grand theft auto), but now, thanks to his presumably personal meth-fueled Christmas Day miracle he's being held without bond on new charges which include robbery with a firearm, battery on a person 65+ yrs old, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

So what exactly was Larry's personal meth-fueled Christmas miracle?  Larry targeted a 68 y/o woman who had exited a Winter Haven, FL Chinese restaurant for a purse snatching.  The problem?  Larry severely underestimated her and her 73 and 66 y/o geriatric friends, who managed to capture and give Larry a beat down sufficient enough to break at least one of his ribs.

Larry attempted to snatch the 68 y/o woman's purse but she held fast, literally being dragged for approximately 15 feet before her male friends jumped in and pinned Larry down to the ground, apparently landing a few solid blows in the process.  During the melee one of the men saw and yelled that Larry had a gun, and another senior citizen bystander secured the weapon, which turned out to be a BB gun (not that it matters as armed robbery with a BB gun is a felony punishable by life in prison just as it would be with a gun that shoots bullets).

Memo to Larry:  For you, Larry, apparently 18 is a charm.  Were I a betting man then I'd wager that you will not see life outside of prison walls as a sentient breathing person.  You will almost certainly die inside of a Florida state prison, whereas in the interim, your intended victim, and her fellow seniors, will hopefully enjoy many more Christmas Day Chinese meals.

Memo to would-be robbers:  It's close to impossible to feel sympathy for a career criminal who's fallen so far as to prey on the elderly.  Find another way.
