TX Man who Filmed Animal Torture Fetish Videos - including some that showed puppies being dismembered and decapitated - is Sentenced to 50 Years in Prison ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Back in 2012 a then 50 year old Brent Justice (ironically sur-named and pictured below at that time) was arrested for filming animal torture fetish videos showing puppies, kittens and other small creatures being mutilated, stabbed and decapitated.

This piece of crap was arrested in 2012 with a woman named Ashley Nicole Richards, aged 25 and pictured below, who appeared in the so-called "animal crush" videos.

Justice produced the films which showing a lingerie-clad Richards, who used meat cleavers, household tools and high-heeled shoes to torture animals while making "sexually-charged" statements.  One of their videos shows Richards stepping on a cat's eye with a pair of high heels.

Crush fetish videos are a sub-genre of porn for people who are sexually aroused by the torture and killing of small animals. These videos are often marketed as religious rituals or sacrifices to evade animal cruelty laws.  As it turns out these 2 ass clowns were the first people in the country to be charged under the "Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act" which was signed by President Obama in 2010, after having produced dozens of videos between 2010 and 2012.

Justice failed to heed Abe Lincoln's sage advise, rejecting 3 different attorneys and deciding to represent himself during the trial.

One of the videos that Justice produced and sold was submitted as evidence and played in court.  It showed a scantily-clad Richards wearing a mask and decapitating a puppy before urinating on the animal's dead body.

Justice actually reportedly argued that the puppy in the video had been slaughtered using kosher methods (i.e. that the puppy was killed in adherence with Old Testament scripture and regulations), prompting the government to call Rabbi Mark Urkowitz as a State's witness to explain that Biblical scripture considers dogs ritually unclean, and only animals that chew their cud and have split hooves are considered kosher.

Both Justice and Richards were arrested in 2012, after an animal welfare group found a video they had produced, and realized from clues in the background that it was made in Houston.  They contacted PETA, and the Houston Police Department was able to pinpoint the perps within 24 hours of conducting an investigation.

Richards has been in state custody for 3 years, having received a 10 year state prison sentence after pleading guilty to 3 counts of animal cruelty in 2014.  Richards also pleaded guilty to federal charges under the Animal Crush Video Prohibition Act and faces up to 7 years in federal prison, although she may be able to get a reduced sentence if she cooperates in a separate human trafficking case.  Justice, now age 54, was served, kinda sorta, on Justice, who just received 50 years in state prison. With as little luck the feds will body slam him as well, ensuring that Justice is truly served by Brent Justice never, ever, breathing free air again.  Were it up to me...

As an aside, on the federal side of this debacle, in 2013, U.S. District Judge Sim Lake dismissed the five counts of video creation and distribution against Richards and Justice, citing the films as protected free speech under the First Amendment.  But in 2014 the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated the charges, noting that the First Amendment allows limited restrictions on some speech, including obscenity, and that the federal law passed constitutional muster because of the "secondary effects" of the videos (highlighting the fact that not all speech is "free").
