Wendell took a beating at the hands of douche baggerous Brevard County, Florida Sheriff's Deputies who were, er, saving him from himself...
Wendell's house was on fire (and no, Wendell had nothing to do with it) and although he got out he feared that his dogs - his beloved pets - were stuck inside. Per Wendell himself: "I got out of the house and then I realized, ''Oh, wait a minute, my dogs are in there''. So, I went back inside to look for my dogs."
Overcome with smoke and desperately seeking to save his furry family, Wendell kept running back in and out of the duplex attempting to find the dogs.
Overcome with desperation Wendell finally grabbed a fire fighter's ax (which was lying on the grass) and tossed it threw one of his front windows... which is when douche baggerous Brevard County Sheriff's Deputies tackled him, causing numerous facial and injuries.
After tackling Wendell he was arrested and charged with the misdemeanor offenses of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest by a....

Memo to the Brevard Sheriff's Office: I understand the need for maintaining order and authority over a crime scene but (and acknowledging that I was not there and am opining solely based upon what I've read - none of which suggests that Wendell posed any threat to law enforcement, fire fighters or anyone but himself and that he was desperate to save his family, albeit furry family) still, looking at the pics I happen to agree with Wendell that your Deputies were both unreasonable and used excessive force. As he put it: "I think at the most, they should've taken me aside, and if they felt that I needed it to be in a squad car until things settled." For your unprecedented douche baggery I present you with this....
