Meet two-time Maxim cover girl Ralitsa "Rail" Ivanoca, a 29 y/o Bulgarian model....
"Rail" was named as Bulgaria's representative in Esquire Magazine's "Sexiest Woman Alive Atlas", and her entry states that she is "rumored to be inspiration for the word bodacious".
Bodacious or not, apparently she's also a drinker, and sans Photoshop, her mug shot (below) isn't as flattering as the rest of her portfolio (although it's still not bad, as booking photo's go...).
At approximately 3:45 am on Wednesday, February 18th, 2015 "Rail" was arrested by Pasco County, Florida Sheriff's Deputies for DUI. The arrest was precipitated by citizen calls to 911 describing her black BMW "weaving back and forth and driving in the wrong lane [of traffic] while heading north on US 41" in Land-O-Lakes, Florida.
Deputies claim to have smelled "a very strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her person" (** NOTE to the Folks: This is not surprisingly as 99.9999% of all DUI arrests share that common denominator) and noticed that she had "bloodshot and watery eyes" (** 2nd NOTE to the Folks: Again, this is language which is contained in 99.9999% of all DUI arrests). In response to questions by the Deputy (** 3rd NOTE to the Folks: You don't "owe" law enforcement any explanations; moreover any explanations that you offer can and will be used against you later, so be smart, hold your tongue and when push comes to shove INVOKE) "Rail" state that she had left Tampa and was headed south to St. Pete (the problem being geography, which is obviously not her strong suit, as she had apparently traveled north instead of south, thus arming the government with additional ammunition - in the form of her own words - with which to prosecute her).
So, what have we learned? 1) Don't drink and drive. If you do not stink / reek of booze then you will almost certainly not be suspected of being DUI. 2) Be aware of where and how you are driving because other people will be (civilians and law enforcement included). 3) Don't engage in conversation with the cops. Rarely does any good come from answering questions. You can be pleasant, polite and respectful AND NOT ENGAGE IN DISCUSSION OR ANSWER QUESTIONS, and you do not even have to offer any explanation as to why you wish to expedite your "roadside encounter". 4) The cops won't tell you but you DO NOT have to take roadside sobriety tests. If you take them and do not "perform to standards" then you will almost certainly be arrested AND the government will have evidence (in the form of your own actions) to use against you in Court. 5) You do not have to provide a breath sample, but your failure to do so has consequences, both short term and long term. Whether or not to blow is a personal and a case-by-case decision. My general advise is not to do so, and in this case "Rain" didn't blow anything or anyone.
When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is: "Don't do it! Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI".
Be smart{er than Ralitsa "Rail" Ivanoca}: Don't drink and drive, but, if you do, just say "NO{thing}", don't blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220, **ARRESTED, **305DUI, **MIAMIDUI, **MIAMILAW or **HABERLAW.
