Domestic Violence is both a Two Way Street & Poisonous in Either Direction ~ Take a Deep Breath & Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ **ARRESTED

Meet 54 y/o Professor Joann Baney.  Yup, that's her below...

Professor Baney, who teaches at Columbia University, who is the faculty director of the FDNY Officer's Management Institute, who sits on the faculty of the NYPD's Police Management Institute, who authored a book entitled "Guide to Interpersonal Communication" and who reportedly is an outspoken anti-domestic violence activist was herself arrested for domestic assault on her boyfriend, 46 y/o retired US Navy Sergeant Walter Frey (pictured below).

According to police reports Professor Baney "beat the victim while he slept at her luxury Upper West Side apartment just before 11:00 pm on Valentine's Day evening".  The motive was the oldest one on record: Revenge.  Apparently [the nutty] Professor Baney is okay with acts of domestic violence when she is the one committing them against her unfaithful beau. Personally I can't wait to hear the spin that her lawyers try to put on [the nutty] Professor Baney attacking a sleeping man, causing lacerations to his left ear and the right side of his neck, especially when she admitted to responding police that "I hit him because he cheated on me".

I don't suppose that there's a chapter in her "interpersonal communications" book about the exception to the rule... you know the one that says "domestic violence is okay when your significant other cheats on you"...  and, though I'm not a betting man, in this case I'd wager that she doesn't have a lesson plan in her FDNY / NYPD curriculum about NOT arresting folks when the violence is inflicted in revenge for cheating.   However, if I'm wrong and she does then I'm sure that you will find it clearly marked in the chapter which is either entitled "How to be a Hypocrite 101" or "Hypocrisy for Dummies".

Memo to Professor Baney:   When an outspoken person - like you - acts contrary to their own words then you serve to set your own cause back exponentially.   It's best that you get off your high horse and just STFU.   There is no - as in ZERO, NADA, ZILCH, NONE - excuse for domestic violence, ever, by anyone against any other, regardless of either gender or rationale. As Caption Picard, er Sir Patrick Stewart, so eloquently stated:

And be absolutely clear that this is a TWO-WAY STREET... meaning that it applies to women just as much as it does to men, thus...
