Breast Feeding FL Woman Arrested for DUI with 4 Kids in car Admits to Eating 4 "Whisky Burgers" ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

The articles are all over the place but it seems that several reports that 33 y/o Cateria Thomas (pictured below) was NOT stopped by a Volusia County Sheriff's Deputy for driving while breast-feeding a two (2) month old child.

Instead, it appears that Cat was stopped in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 12th, 2015 for having an altered temporary tag and that by the time that the deputy got to the driver's window Cateria had begun to breast feed a two (2) month old infant.  No, that is not Cat below, but it is also not a good idea...

Anyhow, upon approaching Cat the deputy made other damning observations, such as there being a full gasoline canister on the passenger seat, three (3) kids (aged 1, 3 and 4) in the back seat, "red, glassy and watery eyes", "slow, slurred speech", an "odor of alcoholic beverage" (which Cat explained away by stating that she had eaten "four hamburgers with whisky on them") and that Cat had a suspended driver license.  All of these observations led to FST's (field sobriety tests), which deputies claim that Cat failed, a refusal to provide a breath sample, a ride in the "patty", er "paddy" wagon, a refusal to provide a breath sample, four (4) kids in DCF custody and a mother being arrested for possession of an unlawfully altered tag, driving with a suspended driver license, child endangerment and DUI.

Per WKMG Local 6 Orlando News (you can both read the article and see the news video clip here) a neighbor spoke with Cat's Grandmother and the neighbor told reporters that:  "She came over here and talked to us and said that [Cateria] had drove drunk last night with the baby and was breastfeeding and all the four kids got taken away this afternoon".    Memo to Cateria:  Four "whisky burgers", four kids, driving a  car with a bad tag and no license and breast feeding with booze in your system and a full can of gasoline in the car?   Really?  The only thing that you were missing was a cigarette.  Please, pretty please, look at the picture above.  That is a bad decision.  Just like yours.  Both are really bad decisions.

When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is:  "Don't do it!  Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI".

Be smart{er than Cateria Thomas}: Don't drink and drive, but, if you do, just say "NO{thing}", don't blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220, **ARRESTED, **305DUI, **MIAMIDUI, **MIAMILAW or **HABERLAW.
