325 lb. NE Patriots Lineman Vince Wilfork Rescues Woman in Roll-Over Accident on his drive home from Winning the AFC Championship Game

Vince went to THE U (graduated the University of Miami in 2004), was a first round draft pick (21st overall) by the New England Patriots in the 2004 NFL draft, is a classy guy (with no off-field antics, except charitable and otherwise good-hearted ones), is a team Captain, weighs in at 325 and stands 6'2" tall.

On his way home from Foxborough on Sunday night after participating in the clinic which was supposed to have been a football game, Vince proved that he is a champion off the gridiron as well as on it by saving a woman in distress.

While cruising up Route 1 Vince came upon this flipped over vehicle.  He was the first on scene, pulled over and attempted to render aid.  When Massachusetts State Troopers arrived they observed the big man and enlisted his assistance.  While the Troopers held open the door Vince pulled the trapped female driver out of the car with one big paw.  The Troopers even Twitted their thanks saying "@Wilfork75 lends a hand to @MassStatePolice on his way home from @Patriots #AFCChamptionship win."  They then linked to their website story, which you can read here.

The cops were pleased - not just for the help but also for the opportunity to meet the famous big man - but the woman, well, not so much.   She was arrested and charged with DUI and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
