Meet the Lake family of Poway, San Diego County, CA, that's them below... Mom (Jacki), Dad (Jeff) and Olivia (18):
Jeff (dad) was arrested on Friday, January 2nd, 2015, for violating a local "social host ordinance violation" while hosting a "Playboy-Mansion-themed" birthday party for his just turned lawful adult 18 y/o Olivia. Cops had responded to the residence, which was hopping with bunny-clad teens, observing minor's consuming alcohol outside and inside of the residence with at least 2 of 200+ party-goers (150-200 of which were estimated to have been teens of varying ages), aged 17 and 19, "passed out drunk" and unconscious inside of the home. Following are some "Instagram" pictures which law enforcement were able to acquire without a warrant...
While it looks like a damn good time to me these are young adults, many still technically minors, and the local "social host ordinance" makes it illegal to to host a party where underage individuals consume alcohol carries a possible 6 month jail sentence. Regardless of the ordinance, and while, as a parent, personally, I want to do everything that I can to make my son happy, proud and popular, one cannot avoid the inescapable and reasonable conclusions that this situation was both overboard and a potential disaster waiting to happen. The very real possibilities range from alcohol poisoning to death to drunk driving to DUI manslaughter to sex offenses to, as Buzz Lightyear would no doubt say: "To infinity and beyond"!
