I cannot find a picture of the man but multiple sources confirm that a 42 year old man was arrested at Sri Lanka's Bandaranaike International Airport with four (4) 100g gold bars (or, in American English.... 14.1096 ounces of gold) crammed into his rectum. The man in question, reportedly from a suburb of Sri Lanka's capital Colombo, had been spotted by customs staff after arriving on a midnight flight from Singapore. Sri Lankan Custom's officials reportedly stopped the man after observing him "walking suspiciously" (which is no wonder with four (4) of these crammed up his ass...).
Sri Lankan officials reported that more than seventy (70) people have been arrested for smuggling gold in 2015. It is believed that folks bring undeclared gold into India, where it is more valuable, from places where it can be purchased cheaper, like Dubai and Singapore, and they smuggle it to avoid the import duty of 10%. The confiscated ass gold in question was valued at around 2,000,000 Sri Lankan rupees (or $30,257.22 in U.S.Dollars).
Even though I could not locate a picture of the smuggler in question I am willing to go out on a limb and bet that his ass gold cannot even begin to compare to this gold ass....
Memo to the Folks: You have virtually no rights at border crossings and ICE literally can crawl up inside your ass to look for contraband.
