Oklahoma Police Routine Traffic Stop Nets 8+ pounds of Methamphetamine Wrapped-Up like Christmas Presents in the Trunk of a "Nervous Driver's" Car ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Cops know that anything can (and sometimes does) happen in what should otherwise be a routine traffic stop...

Take for instance the recent case of Chanele Pauley and Walter Rawls (mug shots below) are Arizona residents who were stopped in Oklahoma for a routine traffic violation for illegally passing another vehicle without signalling on the Will Rogers Turnpike.

During the initial interaction it was Chanele's reportedly suspicious behavior led Deputy Moree to suspect that this traffic stop would be anything but routine.

Per Deputy Moree:  'Chanele was breathing very heavily and I could see the carotid artery in her neck.  I observed Chanele to also be shaking.  All these signs led me to believe Chanele was extremely nervous.  These signs are not seen while speaking with the general motoring public."

Deputy Moree took Chanele over to his car and then took his K-9, "Deputy Jack", over to her car, at which point Deputy Jack alerted to the trunk (no that is not Jack below).

When Deputy Moree opened the trunk he discovered several wrapped Christmas gifts and a subsequent search of the wrapped gifts revealed several sealed plastic bags which themselves contained 8.5 pounds of methamphetamine (and yes, that is the meth in question below).

Both Chanele and Walter were booked into the Rogers County Jail for trafficking in illegal drugs but, per Deputy Moree, had Chanele been able to keep her cool then they likely would have escaped with just a warning.
