An Oregon Man Robs a Bank for Money to buy Christmas Presents and a Tree and is caught hiding in the Tree ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet 28 year old Brett Gillispie-Comstock.  That's his mug shot below...

Brett was arrested for bank robbery after leaving Oregon's Selco Community Credit Union with $1,373.00 of stolen proceeds.
Per the FBI Brett went into a Selco Community Credit Union twice on December 16, 2015 before advising a teller that he wanted to open an account and then handing her a note demanding $5,000.00 (no, that is not "the" note below... it is just a note which is being used as an illustration).  Once he received the envelope with the cash Brett reportedly told the employee "I hope you have really good holidays."'

Brett was found in Bend, Oregon about forty (40) minutes after the bank robbery.  He reportedly told cops that he and his mother had lost $400.00 gambling and that they needed money for rent, Christmas presents and a Christmas tree, and authorities reportedly said that Brett had not only used some of the money to buy a Christmas tree but that he was using the tree to hide his face when police stopped him.

Apart from the Christmas tree, Brett told cops that during the course of his forty (40) minute shopping spree he had also purchased a can of spray paint, a beanie hat, a hoodie, dog treats and food at a Jimmy John's, and he then turned over $700.00 that he had stashed in his boot and took police to another $475.00 that he had buried (again, that is not "the" cash below... it is just an illustration).

Once Brett (who is wearing tie-dye in the picture below) was taken into custody he was charged with third-degree robbery, theft by receiving, first-degree theft and tampering with evidence.
