FL Drunk Driver who is Covered in Vomit Hands Police Officer a Ruby Tuesday Coupon instead of Driver License ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

I am always leery of stories which omit names and key facts but, having read enough articles about this unnamed FL drunk driver I am comfortable going out on a limb and blogging about it...

Anyhow, per reports a Niceville, FL Police Officer stopped the driver as he swerved about the roadway in his Ford truck.  Per reports the man appeared not to be aware that he had vomited on himself (no that is not him below)...

and, when asked for his paperwork, the driver reportedly handed over Ruby Tuesday coupons and a plastic document protector.

The unidentified driver was reportedly unable to perform field sobriety tests and had a BAC of .219 and .205 (more than 2.5x the legal limit).

Memo to the Folks:  It is not unlawful to drink and drive; rather it is unlawful to drink and drive with a BAC (breath / blood alcohol content) of .08 or more or when your normal faculties are impaired (as determined by the officer's subjective evaluation). Still, it is a fact that if the cops smell alcohol on your breath then you are almost 100% guaranteed to be the subject of a criminal investigation by a biased cop, and therefore you are always best advised not to drive if you've been drinking (no matter how sober you may be).

When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is:  "Don't do it!  Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI".

Be smart: Don't drink and drive, but, if you do, just say "NO{thing}", don't blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220 or 1-888-SHARK-8-1.
