New Zealand's Auckland Airport Security Screeners find a huge "Huntsman Spider" hiding inside of the folded tent of an Air Passenger from Australia ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

It's easy to hate airport screeners, especially the TSA.

But I'm willing to bet that you wouldn't be hating on them if they happened to find (before either it found you or you found it) a huge Huntsman spider surreptitiously hiding inside of your folded tent / luggage... and that is precisely what recently happened at New Zealand's Auckland Airport... screeners found a huge huntsman spider that was hiding inside of a traveler's tent after it had apparently caught a free flight from Australia into New Zealand.

Take a closer look....

That bad boy (or girl) is huge (at least as far as I am concerned).  In case you were wondering here are some Huntsman spider facts...

HUNTSMAN SPIDER FACTS

1.  They’re very fast. The average huntsman spider can travel at one meter per second.
2.  Huntsman spiders can attain a leg span of between 10 and 12 inches.
3.  Often referred to as the wood spider or a crab spider because of its appearance and leg shape.
4.  They come in different colors and have distinctive patterns on their underside.
5.  The large spiders feed on insect pests such as cockroaches.
6.  They can jump high and far.
7.  Although they don't pose a risk to humans, there is a risk they may carry diseases with them.
8. Their bite is non-toxic but very painful.

Posting the image online the Ministry for Primary Industries in New Zealand thanked the airport security team for preventing the spider from entering the country stating on Twitter: "#Huntsman spider found in tent from #Australia by #biosecurity staff at @AKL_airport! Thanks team!"
