Answered The max penalty for the BURGL: OF UNOCCUPIED DWELLING; UNARMED; NO ASSLT/BATT is 15 years.

The max penalty for LARC: PETTI THEFT 2ND DEGREE 1ST OFFENSE? is 60 days.

A $52,000.00 bond seems, on the surface, to be extremely high for those charges so I suspect that there are either serious priors or other aggravating factors to substantiate such a bond.
Still, your friend will sit in jail until either a) s/he posts bond (whether $52k or a reduced bond upon application), b) s/he accepts a plea offer (which may or may not include either a jail or prison term), c) the case is dismissed or d) the case is resolved by trial (in the event of an acquittal s/he walks, in the event of a conviction s/he faces the statutory max for whatever offense(s) the jury returns a guilty verdict).

I hope that I have been helpful in answering your question.
