Florida Gospel Singer Serenades his way out of a Ticket by Singing Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful" to the Female Cops who had pulled him over ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet TJ Bristol.  He is both a gospel singer and the chaplain at the Orange County Jail.  That's him below...

TJ was stopped by two (2) female Deputy Sheriff's in Orange County, Florida and decided to film the encounter with the help of a selfie stick.  Before he stopped his car he started his camera recording, and after telling the camera that he was going to "sing his way out of this ticket" TJ launched in to rendition of Joe Cocker's "You Are So Beautiful", serenading the female officers who had stopped him.

The video starts with TJ saying: "The craziest thing just happened to me - I'm being pulled over by police officers. I'm gonna pray my way out of this."  After politely asking permission to step out of his vehicle, he is asked by Corporal Ricks and Deputy Hoagland whether he knew why he had been pulled over.

TJ acknowledged that he was driving without having his seat belt buckled:  "I promise you I'm going to wear my seat belt from now on. I'm going to sing my way out of this ticket."

The two female officers can't help but smile as TJ does what he does, and afterward both officer's break in to applause, after which TJ turned to the camera again and said:  "Buckle up, y'all".

The Orange County Police took to Facebook as they reported the incident, referring to it as "heartwarming" (you can view their Facebook page by clicking here) and TJ himself would later post a picture of him with the two (2) officers along with the message:  "I really feel safe with these police officers they taught me a great lesson about buckling up always remember click it or ticket."

Memo to the Folks:  TJ proved to be the exception to the rule.  You are almost always - "almost always" - going to be best served by being quiet, reserved and respectful.  Below is my Webisode on "Roadside Behavior".  TJ not withstanding, when it comes to cops on the roadside I'm sticking with "less is more".
