And there she is in her recent mug shot, after being booked into the Lake County Jail for assault with a weapon (to wit: a snow shovel).
The arrest stems from an incident which had occurred on Wednesday, October 7th, 2015 at Martha's Mini Daycare in Ronan, Montana when a one Francis Joseph Jackson (I can't find a picture of this guy anywhere) appeared with Tashiana (who is his girlfriend) to pick up his three (3) biological kids. At the time Martha McClure (who is pictured below), who was caring for Francis Joseph Jackson's three children, all of whom are under the age of four (4).
Apart from the fact that Martha knew that both the Salish and Kootenai Tribal Child Protective Services had suspended Jackson's parental rights and that he was not allowed to have contact with them, she could also smell alcohol on Jackson, and so she responsibly refused to hand over his children.
Naturally Martha's refusal to turn over his kids this enraged the intoxicated father and so, in front of the kids, he threatened to assault her. Martha was able to physically remove Jackson from the daycare center and lock the door, but when she did he began throwing toys, including a tricycle, at the window in an apparent attempt to get back inside. She went outside to confront him and a fight ensued. Martha was reportedly "holding her own" until Tashiana intervened, hitting Martha in the face with a snow shovel, knocking her down and then fleeing (without the kids).
Although she did not expect Tashiana to go "Sparta" on her, Martha would later say that she knew what the consequences would be for keeping Jackson from his children: "I knew he was going to throttle me, he was going to pound me, but he wasn't going to get back in the house. I protect these children as if they're my own because when they it the door at 6:30 in the morning they are mine until their mother's come for them. I'm responsible for their lives, their safety."
While Martha was taken to the hospital for eye surgery after the vicious attack both Tashiana and Jackson managed to flee (without the kids), but warrants issued for both of them, with Jackson being caught and extradited first (from a nearby town) on charges of aggravated burglary and Tashiana surrendering on her assault with a weapon charge shortly thereafter.
