The scene: It's about 10:00 pm on 2015 Texas Halloween eve....
and 34 y/o Amy Gonzalez Rodiles drove her vehicle off the road and into a pond at the north end of the residential Grayhawk subdivision in Frisco, Texas.
Amy (who's mug shot is below), along with her eight (8) and ten (10) year old kids were able to climb out of the sinking vehicle and swim to the shore of the pond before the car was completely submerged.

Responding police believed that Amy was drunk at the scene of the potentially deadly incident; fortunately paramedics responded and found no serious injuries. Still, Amy was arrested and has been charged with two (2) counts of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, which is a felony in Texas. The kids were reportedly released to a family member.

Memo to the Folks: Nothing good comes from drinking and driving. Ever. This is as true a statement as "1 + 1 = 2". That said....
When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is: "Don't do it! Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI".
Be smart{er than Amy Gonzalez Rodiles}: Don't drink and drive, but, if you do, just say "NO{thing}", don't blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220 or 1-888-SHARK-8-1.
