Meet 51 y/o Gerald Montgomery (yes, that's his mug shot below)...
Gerry was ("was") an Uber driver in Denver, CO until last week when he decided to drive the wrong way down the proverbial wrong street / side of the law.
Gerry had picked up an unnamed woman at her Denver home and driven her to the airport. After dropping the woman off Gerry then returned to her Denver home and attempted to gain entry / break in through the back door.
Unfortunately for Gerry, the woman who he had dropped off had a roommate, and she was home when he returned. Upon seeing Gerry, and he seeing her, Gerry fled. But it was too little too late as the passenger had Gerry's photo from her Uber receipt, making identification easy.
The roommate posted the Uber receipt onto her Facebook page with the following message to warn her friends: "I had just gotten home when he was about to get in the back door... He probably thought no one else was here. Friends that take Uber, please be careful."
Uber spokespeople stated that Gerry had passed all criminal and driving history background checks before he was allowed to become a driver. After terminating Gerry's "access to the platform" Uber officials contacted the passenger and refunded her ride, which cost $39.88. In the interim, the passenger is done with Uber, advising that she "... paid $90.00 to come home from the airport today in a cab". She reportedly indicated that she won't be using Uber again and that the extra money paid to the cab was worth the extra security.

(Yes, I know that this is not the same "Uber", but it's an Uber FAIL! nonetheless...)
