Don't do the crime if you can't do the time, no, don't do it...
That's the message from the West Valley Division of the LAPD, which posted captured video footage on their Facebook page, (a still photo of the Facebook post is below but the music scored video can be seen here) of three (3) burglars who had broken into a San Fernando Valley home in the afternoon of March 2nd, 2015 stealing an undisclosed number of firearms, and in doing do the cops are now proactively seeking the public's help in apprehending the now armed burglars.
A California homeowners' surveillance video captured footage of the burglars who had broken into their house and stole, among other things, a 5 foot safe and a number of firearms, and one (1) of the burglars stared directly at the camera. In the video two (2) men and one (1) woman can be seen entering the San Fernando Valley home. The burglars got into the house through the kitchen, peeking and even tip-toeing around as they walked through the living room of the empty home and disappeared into what seems to be a hallway. Then one suspect returned, checked the kitchen again before moving into the living room and that's when he stared directly into the surveillance camera and realized that he was being filmed.
The surprised boy immediately ducked and then hit the camera over, but not before it was able to capture a perfect visual of his face.
The LAPD released the video on its Facebook page with the hope that it would help identify the burglars, who escaped with another man who is not seen in the surveillance footage. Police have described all three (3) of the burglars are follows: 17 to 20 years old, two 2) men and (1) woman) one (1) of the men is 145-155 lbs and 5' 7" - 5' 10", the second man is 155 - 165 lbs and is 5' 9" - 6', and police also believe the second man to have brown hair and brown eyes and the woman is described as being 130 - 145 lbs and 5' 5" - 5' 7". Police said the burglars left the scene in a black 2007 to 2011 Lexus GS350 with a fourth man who appeared to have blonde or brown hair and who is described as being between 30 - 35 years old. In addition a "310" paper plate was placed over the car's front license plate.
Law enforcement is turning more and more to Social Media to solve crimes. While the raw video footage was provided compliments of the homeowners the music was added by the LAPD (naturally, as one would expect from Hollywood) to make it "more engaging" to the public. Keep your Eye on the Sparrow.
