Police Social Media WIN! Belfast, Maine Police use Facebook to Locate the Owner of a Pair of Escaped Pygmy Goats ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet Sergeant Daniel Fitzpatrick of the Belfast, Maine Police Department.  That's him below...

On Sunday, April 23, 2017 Sgt. Fitzpatrick responded to a call from a concerned citizen who lives near the Passagassawakeag River in Belfast (which is about 90 miles from Portland) who had discovered a pair of pygmy goats in her garage eating her cat's food.

Sgt. Fitzpatrick used a cat leash to lead the duet into the backseat of his squad car and then set out on a mission to figure out who's goats they were.

The trio drove around looking for the goats' owner as Sgt. Fitzpatrick fed them carrots and celery.  As time ticked the Belfast Police Department took to Facebook, posting:  "Got goats? We do, and they do not belong to us.  We had these two little "kids" turn up on High Street near the parking lot for the rail trail. They are currently riding around with Sergeant Fitzpatrick, serenading him in goat music.  Though he is thankful for the company on this cool Sunday morning, he would gladly return them to their owners. He is running out of vegetables to feed them."

Soon enough the daughter of the goats' owner saw the Police Department's Facebook post and picked up the pair.  Turns out that their names are Louis and Mowgli, and their fugitive Facebook  posts garnered a lot of shares, likes and comments (you can see the Belfast, Maine Police Department's Facebook page by clicking here).

But before returning Louis and Mowgli to their human Sgt. Fitzpatrick snapped a few selfies with his short-term passengers.
