Watch Video Footage of a Murder Suspect inside of an Ohio Police Interview Room who tried to grab a Cop's Gun while Shouting "Kill me! Kill me!" ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet 23 y/o Thomas Robinson.   That's his mug shot below....

The video footage (which you can see by clicking here) was filmed in an interview room in the Cincinnati Police Department on June 16th, 2016, and starts with Robinson waiting to be interrogated in regard to the shooting death of 17 y/o Joseph Reno Armstrong, Jr. in Westwood, Ohio.  The footage shows Robinson handcuffed to a chair in the interview room when a uniformed Officer James Ball came in to uncuff him.

Officer Ball leaned down to uncuff Robinson's left hand, and in the process he left his right side, where his firearm was located, exposed.

Robinson is seen glancing over once, pausing for a moment, and then as Officer Ball fumbles with the cuffs, Robinson reaches over with his right hand, pulls the pistol out of its holder and quickly stands up, with the chair still cuffed to his hand.

As Robinson reaches for Officer Ball's gun the officer grabs his gun arm and locks it horizontally across his chest, shouting for help, prompting another officer to rush in with his taser drawn.

The first responding officer fired the taser into Robinson's back, apparently without effect, at which time Robinson can be heard shouting what sounds like "Kill me! Kill me!"

As Robinson continues to struggle with Ball, who is twisting his arm back to keep the gun pointed away from them, the cop with the taser races in to restrain Robinson, and then a third officer enters the room.

The third cop tries to grab Robinson too, but apparently realizing the room is too small for that maneuver, he steps back and brings out his own taser, shooting Robinson in the chest and causing him to go down with the chair landing on top of him just as Officer Ball is pushed away by the second officer.

The second officer looks at his useless taser, grumbles "Piece of sh*t!" and then goes over to the unconscious Robinson.  Officer Ball is heard confirming that he's "good" and that Robinson couldn't get the gun off him as a fourth person enters the room.

Robinson was formally charged with the murder of Joseph Reno Armstrong, Jr. and has also been charged with assaulting a police officer and for possession of heroin, as a ball of heroin was found in his sock at the time of his arrest.

Memo to the Folks:  "Suicide by Cop" is no joke.  Sadly, it's a very real phenomenon. Whether on the roadside or in an interrogation room, this is a perfect example of why many cops are on perpetual high alert and are quick to react. Even a seemingly controlled situation can explode into a life threatening one in a second, and the bottom line for the men and women in blue is that they want to get home to their families intact at the end of their shift.
