Meet 34 y/o Crystal Urrutia. That's her below...
On June 12th, 2016 Crystal went inside and filled out an employment application at Braum's Ice Cream shop in Oklahoma City.
She left the application (a piece of paper with all of her identifying information, including the fact that she resides about one mile away from Braum's), but a store employee saw her take several items, place them in her bag and walk out of the store.
As Crystal walked out of the store a manager followed her to the parking lot and confronted her, at which time Crystal reportedly "put her hand in her purse, indicating she has a gun, and threatens to shoot him", according to Oklahoma City Police Master Sergeant Gary Knight. At this point "...the suspect leaves, and the manager goes back inside" and it didn't take a whole lot of brainpower to work out the robber's name.
Per Master Sergeant Knight: "That's when one of the other employees says 'Hey, she was just here and just applied for a job, and we still have her job application with all of her information on it.'' Cops were called and the police used surveillance footage to match Crystal with a recent mug to establish her as the bandit. "The funny thing about this is she chose to steal right after filling out a job application, providing all of her information to them and the police" M.S. Knight said. Crystal was located and arrested for felony robbery a few days after the incident.
Memo to the Folks: Not that I'm offering up a "how to" or a "101" course on committing crimes but I was taught as a kid the benefits of preparation, and those lessons have proven to be invaluable in both my personal and professional lives. So I bequeath unto you that which was taught to me... "The Law of the '7 P's'": Proper Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Do with that what you will.
