Shortly after a concerned citizen had called the FHP to report a reckless driver who was going southbound on I-75 near Ocala, a State Trooper stopped the vehicle.
Not surprisingly, after the Trooper smelled alcohol on 31 y/o Josue Moncada he was arrested for DUI
What was surprising, however, was that within minutes of Josue's DUI arrest his sister, 41 y/o Ercilia Moncada pulled-up on scene in her own vehicle and began to argue with the Trooper over her brother's arrest.
Another Trooper was called to the scene and Ercilia, who was also reportedly reeked of booze, was promptly arrested for DUI.

What was surprising, however, was that within minutes of Josue's DUI arrest his sister, 41 y/o Ercilia Moncada pulled-up on scene in her own vehicle and began to argue with the Trooper over her brother's arrest.
Another Trooper was called to the scene and Ercilia, who was also reportedly reeked of booze, was promptly arrested for DUI.
Although there was no word on whether the siblings were transported together it is certain that that they neither shared a jail cell not will they be prosecuted together. However, with her actions Ercilia did prove 2 things: 1) While on scene of an arrest (or an imminent arrest) it is not a good idea to interfere with the cops and 2) The family that gets arrested together stays (er, goes to jail) together.
When it comes to the subject of drinking and driving, the best advice that you are ever going to hear is: "Don't do it! Get a DD (Designated Driver), not a DUI".
Be smart{er than Josue Moncada and Ercilia Moncada}: Don't drink and drive, but, if you do, just say "NO{thing}", don't blow (in FL your 2nd subsequent refusal is a crime) and call me stat at 305-381-8686, 305-798-2220 or 1-888-SHARK-8-1.
