For the 2nd time in 2 weeks unsuspecting Cops receive complimentary Mustard in their Soda's at a Kansas McDonalds ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

On Black Friday (November 25th, 2016) in the drive thru at the McDonald's at 2001 Northwest Topeka Boulevard in Topeka, Kansas, an unnamed Topeka Police Officer ordered, among other things, a Dr. Pepper.

But when he took a sip from the cup he thought the drink tasted funny, and when he lifted the lid he found what proved to be yellow mustard mixed in with the soda.

The employee responsible for the cruel prank, who is also unnamed, is likely looking at criminal charges and was definitely fired.

On Sunday, November 27th, 2018 a photo of the contaminated beverage was shared on the pro-law enforcement Facebook page titled Kansas GOING Blue (which you can see by clicking here), along with a caption which accompanied the image decrying the unpalatable mustard stunt as being "extremely unacceptable."  As of Tuesday, November 29th, 2016, the Facebook post has been shared more than 4,000 times.

After the Topeka Police Department complained about the treatment of the officer, Tom Dobski, the owner of the Topeka Boulevard McDonald’s franchise, announced that the company had immediately launched an internal investigation which resulted in the termination of the worker who served up the foul concoction.  Tom and Marilyn Dobski, who own eight McDonald’s eateries in the area, reportedly said that they were "shocked by the isolated actions of a single employee" and that "[a]ll customers, including local law enforcement officers who protect and serve our communities, are always welcome at our restaurants,". They added "We proudly support police officers and all divisions of first responders at our restaurants across northeast Kansas."

Just two weeks earlier, and from the same McDonalds drive thru, a Kansas Highway Patrol Officer also found mustard inside of his drink.   These two events have reportedly prompted the Shawnee County District Attorney's Office to open a criminal investigation into the incidents.  Given the fact that the employee who served the Topeka officer was already identified and fired I expect that the investigation should not take too much time or resources... but then again, you never know.
