There are times to flee and then there are times not to flee...
Regardless of what you choose to do there are going to be consequences (some good, some bad, some right, some wrong) and you are going to be held accountable.
On Tuesday, September 13th, 2016 a suspected drug dealer in Denver, CO decided to flee from the cops and toss 17 bags of heroin as he fled.
The problem: This douche bag wound up throwing the 17 bags of heroin into a doggy day care center, and a hungry golden retriever named Charlie (pictured below) wound up eating the entire contents of one of the bags which left him in dire need of emergency veterinary care. CCTV footage from within the Doggie Daycare building captured the unfortunate incident, and you can watch the video footage by clicking here.
The video shows Charlie eating the bag and then walking away while chewing the heroin. Per Garrett Bishop, the owner of "Bark and Play": "You can see her [Charlie] chewing on it as she walks away." Fortunately, literally within a matter of seconds an employee can be seen picking up several heroin bags from the ground before any more dogs are able to eat them. In total, 17 baggies were found.
Afterward Charlie's human, a woman identified only as Laura, reported that she had received a phone call from the doggie day care center to tell her that her dog was "high on heroin". She was told that "we're treating her but you need to come as soon as you can", and she stated that "you can't process the fact that your dog ate heroin".
Charlie was rushed to the vet where she was treated with the heroin antidote Narcan and also with charcoal. Thankfully Charlie is going to be okay.
Per Laura: "The employee saved her life. I know she'd be dead. I'm really happy she's not because they were so fast-acting. If you want to do drugs, you can do drugs. If you want to ruin your life -- if you want to sell drugs to people, sell drugs to people that want to do drugs, you're ruining their life. They chose it -- my dog didn't choose it."
Denver police managed to catch the suspect who is faces charges for possession and possession with intent to distribute, but there is no word on whether or not this douche baggerous a**hole will be charged with either resisting arrest or with either animal cruelty or animal abuse for the reasonably foreseeable consequence - be it intended or not - of his intentional act (fleeing and tossing away 17 bags of heroin).
Not only should he be charged with animal cruelty but he should also be held accountable for paying Laura and Charlie's veterinary bills, and then....
