12 y/o FL Boy Poses as a Clown on Video App "Musical.ly" & Posts a Threat to Kill Students at his Middle School is Arrested for Felony "Written Threats to Kill" ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Coulrophobia is the fear of clowns, and apparently 12 y/o Bradley Prescott of Pasco County, Florida does not suffer from this condition.

While Bradley may not be afraid of clowns he does have a few things to worry about, like p*ss poor judgment and 2nd degree felony charges....

Young Bradley was arrested on Tuesday, October 4th, 2016 under F.S. 836.10 for "Written Threats to Kill or to do Bodily Injury" (please click here for a link to the statute) after he posted a message on the video app "Musical.ly" under the account name "clouning_around".

The message, which included a disturbing profile picture of a clown, read: "Hello I am going to kill kids at SEVEN SPRINGS MIDDLE SCHOOL on Friday the 7th of October 2016 GET READY 6th graders for your worst day and your last!!"

Police were notified of the post on Monday night (October 4th, 2016), the account was easily tracked to young Bradley and the arrest was swiftly made.  The 12 y/o reportedly admitted that he had thought that it would be funny, but authorities, including both school and law enforcement, do not agree, especially given the rash of "clown sightings" which have been reported around the country.

Linda Cobbe, spokeswoman for the Pasco County School District, reportedly said that "It's very disruptive and we're getting tired of it."  And the Pasco County Sheriff's Department has stressed the seriousness of the threats, even posting patrol cars outside the middle school on Tuesday.

Per Pasco Sheriff's Deputy Chris Nocco young Bradley will be charged as an adult (*but note that in FL it is the State Attorney who decides whether to charge a minor as an adult or a juvenile, not the cops), the department has declared a "zero tolerance" policy concerning threats made to schools and is urging parents to monitor their children's online activity.
