On Wednesday, July 19th Pastor Hilburn was arrested in a Police Prostitution Sting after paying an undercover Deputy Sheriff $80.00 for sexual activities.
To the best of my knowledge and belief details of the transaction (such as: 1) whether the undercover officer a man or a woman, 2) whether the sting op was on the street, on the internet or otherwise and 3) precisely what "sexual activities" Pastor Hilburn had contracted for...) are yet to be released. But, rest assures that...
And I'll bet that Pastor Hilburn's wife is curious too...
A statement from officials at The Woodlands First Baptist Church confirmed that after his arrest Pastor Hilburn had resigned: "In regard to the recent arrest of Dr. Eddie Hilburn, The Woodlands First Baptist Church has received and accepted his resignation and has taken steps to notify the congregation. This is a difficult time for Eddie, his family and our church. We continue to seek God's will with grace and truth, providing love and support to all those affected, while reaffirming our commitment to the highest expectations for our church and its leadership."
