FL Mother & Daughter Duo are Arrested in Police Sting Op for Operating an Erotic Massage Parlor out of the Carport of their Sarasota Home ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1



Meet 55 y/o Anne Marie Dodge (left) and her 30 y/o daughter Jennifer Lynn Dodge, both of Sarasota, FL.




They look more like sisters (mom is on the right below)...




And for a little while they also looked like cellmates (mom is on the left again)...




Mother and daughter were arrested for running an unlicensed erotic massage parlor of the carport of their Sarasota home.




After receiving a tip undercover cops responded to a Backpage.com ad that was posted by mom (reportedly stating that "I am a beautiful, talented, licensed massage therapist whom God uses to bring his healing energy to you and bring you to a whole new level of ecstasy. I specialize in deep tissue, healing, energy massage").  After she gave an undercover agent a massage without a license the police raided the residence, seizing massage tables, lotions, oils and a towel steamer. Not withstanding her statement that she is a licensed massage therapist as well as a religious minister who performs "laying of hands", mom was promptly arrested on two felony counts of unlicensed practice of a health care profession and two misdemeanor counts of operating a massage parlor without a license.


The following day daughter Jennifer was arrested on one felony count of prostitution, after police reported that she had offered an undercover cop sexual favors for $200, instead of the advertised $120 price tag for a simple massage.  (Upon information and belief Jennifer has 3 prior prostitution convictions.)




This is one fairy tale that did not have a happy ending.

Woman Posts a Real Time Video of Sexual Assault to Snapchat leading Cops to Locate and Arrest her Rapist ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1



Below is a picture (a mug shot actually) of 77 y/o James Allen of Danbury Township, Ohio. 




Jim was booked into the Ottawa County Jail on Tuesday, August 8th, 2017 on rape charges and is being held on $1mil bail.



Jim was arrested after an unnamed friend of an unnamed woman called police to report that her unnamed friend had posted a video on Snapchat which purported to be her (the unnamed woman) being raped by Jimbo.  (Note that I am not passing judgment on Jimbo, I am merely re-reporting that which has already been formally alleged - but I do cop to the fact that I occasionally lack impulse control when it comes to what I believe to be an apropos MEME.)




Anyhow, according to Ottawa County Prosecutor James VanEerten the video clearly shows a sexual assault taking place, it is unclear whether the young woman live-streamed the attack or posted the video shortly afterward, it appears that the woman was impaired while recording the video and he asked people to stop sharing the video on social media.




Memo to the Folks:  If this woman was able to live-stream her sexual assault then that is both terrifying and likable all rolled up at once. But for the video the rapist may well have gotten away with it, only to besiege and torture another victim; yet because of the video the victim may well be forced to relive this experience in ways unimaginable to most people.

Mother Arrested for Child Abuse after Slapping, Beating with a Belt and Tasering her 5 y/o Son who's School Performance was not up to Par ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1



Meet 27 y/o Whitney White of Houston, TX.  That's her booking photo below....



Whitney was arrested on Monday, August 7th, 2017 for 2 counts of "causing bodily injury to a child" (or what I - FL - would call "Child Abuse").


The investigation reportedly began sometime in July, 2017 after the child was observed with bruises on his face, welts on his body and a cut on his arm.  When confronted Whitney allegedly told police that she was frustrated with her son because he refused to study his school work.  She reportedly claimed that facial bruising was caused by "a" slap to the face after the boy had told her "no", which she took as a "sign of disrespect", and that welts on his arms occurred after she had hit him "too forceful" with a belt.


But Whitney's problems were compounded when her son reported to police that his mother had used a Taser on him in November, 2016, allegedly saying that "I was five years old when the defendant tased [tasered] me on my arm because I got in trouble at school. From zero to 10, it hurt 10."


Right about now you should be wondering how Whitney could be charged with the uncorroborated statement of a child for something that had allegedly occurred almost a year earlier... and the answer is simple:  She admitted it.



Whitney reportedly confirmed her son's taser allegation, telling the police that she was frustrated because her son wasn't achieving the learning outcomes that she wanted for him and that "When I tried to talk with him about it, he didn't want to discuss it, and he was running away from me, [so] I picked it up and tased [tasered] him with it."  Whitney also reportedly told investigators that her "anger management class told me not to tase[r] him but we didn't go into what else to do". 



Now that Whitney has been charged (that's her below in Court) her now 6 y/o, together with his weeks-old sibling, have been taken into temporary custody of Child Protective Services pending placement with a responsible relative.  



Whitney has reportedly been permitted to have supervised contact with her infant child because she is still breast-feeding.



Memo to the Folks:  I am not going to tell you how to parent (if you can't distinguish between responsible discipline and child abuse then you, like Whitney, deserve what you get) but I will say this...

Anime Inspired Firebending "Punch Activated Arm Flamethrowers" now exist thanks to YouTube DIY Tech Star Allen Pan ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1




Meet Korra.  That's her below.  Korra is from "The Legend of Korra", a part of the TV series "Avatar" (apparently this is popular among today's youth), and, as you can see, Korra uses flamethrowing gloves to "firebend".  



Coincidentally, "the flamethrower move" is also popular in the game "Street Fighter"... 



Well, thanks to inspiration from fantasy warfare (and YouTube DIY tech star Allen Pan, who, as of today, has 342,439 subscribers and nearly 50 million views on his YouTube Channel), there are now very real world flamethrower gloves.  Allen's mantra is taken from Arthur C, Clark ("Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"), as he describes on his YouTube "About" page: "My name is Allen, I try to make pretend things into real things!" and as you can see below, Allen is a man of his word.  Allen has made and displayed (in his videos) a variety of devices, including a grappling hook gun, "web shooters" (a la Spiderman), and Thor's hammer, and on July 29th, 2017 Allen revealed his latest work in a new video, and it is based upon anime characters and computer games: "Punch Activated Arm Flamethrowers" .


The flamethrower part of the glove relies on a solenoid valve, an arc lighter (an electric, battery-powered lighter) for ignition, and a chamber containing flammable butane gas to produce the flames. 



The flamethrowing gloves track the wearer's arm motion and only activate on "good punches".  Get ready, because in describing how the gloves work I (via Allen) am gonna get technical:



"Hackster" (the punch activated part of the project) relies upon an "Arduino Pro Mini" (a small computer built on a single integrated circuit board) and an accelerometer (an instrument for measuring acceleration).  



The accelerometer measures the speed of the punch and feeds this information to the Arduino circuit.   Per Allen: "A first performing a punch has a fairly unique acceleration profile.  A punch begins with a significant positive acceleration, followed by an extreme deceleration - the end of a punch.  A punch's acceleration profile all happens within a small time frame, usually less than 100 milliseconds.  By recognizing this pattern, the tiny Arduino computer can distinguish between punches and normal, everyday movements. 
  

Once the device is assembled and mounted to an arm, the result is a flamethrower that can be actuated by am Arduino computer only when the wearer has thrown a punch."  (Incidentally, Allen - wearing red - is not only clever but he's also smart... The guy in black is, reportedly, a real world kung fu expert.  On his video Allen captions: "Legend of Korra: Turf Wars just came out! There's a lot of Real Firebending videos on YT and they all suck. So I made punch activated arm flamethrowers and put them on a real kung fu master.")



And so there you have it.  "Punch Activated Arm Flamethrowers". I suppose that It's only a matter of time before they're available at K-Mart or on Amazon...  I wonder if Arthur C, Clark is proud of Allen's homage (or rolling in his grave...).
