Lincoln, NE Teenage Driver tries to Sneak around Traffic, Drives into Wet Cement and winds up with a Stuck Car and $10,000 repair Bill ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet 19 y/o Shadrach Yasiah of Lincoln, Nebraska.  That's him below...

Shad probably should've taken that left turn at Albuquerque...

...but instead he tried to whip a quick left in Lincoln - to avoid traffic - and he wound up driving directly into a fresh concrete pour.

Yup.  You're seeing that right.  Shad's quick left was make through a 24-foot gap between traffic control cones - attendant to a road repair project - and instead of a quick go-around he wound up getting his blue Honda Civic stuck in the fresh cement.

It took more than 2 hours to get the Shad's car out of the cement and his would-be-quick move wound up slowing down a lot of traffic, but still, Lincoln Police Department Spokeswoman Angela Sands reportedly said that the teenage driver will not be cited.

Although the police incident report states that it wasn't obvious that the concrete wasn't dry the City Engineer, Thomas Shafer reportedly observed that the cement was "probably less than 30 minutes old" when Shad drove into it and that 'It was really not set up in any manner or fashion for a vehicle and they sunk up to the axles in it." Regardless, both the cops and the engineer agree that Shad is responsible for the repairs (which are estimated at more than $10,000.00 in costs for removing the car, scraping out the ruined slurry, pouring more cement and finishing the job."

Memo to Shadrach Yasiah:  I know that you don't like sitting in traffic, but I'll bet that you don't like destroying your car, being delayed for hours and having to pay $10k in clean-up costs even less.

Memo to the Folks:  Deep breaths.  Namaste.
