NoCar Woman is Arrested for Grand Theft Auto for Stealing an idling Ambulance from a Charlotte Hospital because she needed a Ride ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet 36 year old North Carolina resident Autumn Prieschl.  That's her below...

Autumn was arrested for grand theft auto after hopping behind the wheel and driving off with an idling ambulance from the Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte, NoCar.

Police reported that Autumn was neither under the influence, mentally unstable nor was she sick... apparently she just needed a ride.

Although the footage has not yet been released Autumn was reportedly caught on video security footage getting behind the wheel of the idling ambulance at around 10:00 pm on Thursday, March 10th, 2016.  The ambulance, which was empty at the time, had a GPS tracker, so police were quickly able to locate and stop it.

MEDIC (also known as Mecklenburg EMS Agency) officials reportedly said that crews had seen Autumn lingering near the emergency entrance but did not think much of it at the time.   MEDIC crews often leave keys in their trucks and leave them running so they can get to an emergency quickly.  MEDIC reportedly had 30 trucks covering the Charlotte area at that time so the grand theft did not disrupt service.  In the meantime Autumn, who is cute but is no Raquel Welch, has been charged with larceny of a motor vehicle and trespassing.

A crime is a crime regardless of its magnitude. However, as we cast judgement on Autumn, we are served with the other side of the coin, that is, the plight of Americans struggling to cater for their needs, thereby resolving to acts that put others’ lives in jeopardy. This is a case where weak morals, poverty and opportunity meet.

I don't see how any of that justifies stealing an ambulance "because I needed a ride", and I certainly would not have put on that defense....
