Career Criminal Commits a Murder after he Removes his PROSTHETIC Leg that was fitted with an Ankle GPS Monitor ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

With all of the articles that I've read I cannot find a picture of Quincy Green, but a witness who saw him shoot Dana Hamilton to death in Washington DC in May, 2016 had no problem identifying Quincy, a career criminal, who had the perfect alibi... he was at home at the time of the murder.

A GPS ankle monitor / tracker which had been fitted to Green in April, 2016 after a gun arrest showed that at the time of the murder he was at home, more than a mile away from where the murder took place.  But because of the positive identification Green's seemingly airtight alibi quickly unraveled after officers discovered that bungling officials had the fitted the GPS monitor to Green's prosthetic leg, meaning that he was able to defeat the purpose by simply taking the limb off and leaving his prosthesis at home.

GPS monitors are designed to inform authorities if a criminal leaves or enters a certain area which they have either been confined to or prohibited from, or if the bracelet itself is tampered with.  But in Green's case he was able to remove his prosthetic limb with the tracker intact, leaving it inside a box in his apartment while he wandered freely along Washington's streets.

Dana Hamilton was shot dead on May 19, and on May 25 a witness came forward with Green's name.  Officers requested data from the tracker for May 19, 20 and 25 and after discovering that the device had "barely moved" they concluded that Green had somehow removed it.  When they raided Green's home, they found the limb hidden away inside a box along with the GPS tag and two chargers.  Green was arrested, and on Friday, June 17th, 2016 he was charged with second-degree murder.

Many jurisdictions have relied less and less upon monetary bonds, or have reduced the amount of monetary bonds, with increased reliance on GPS technology.  Officials have reported that more than 5,000 of the devices have been fitted in DC and that this is the first time they have encountered this problem (the "problem" being the moron who put the device on a prosthetic instead of an organic limb).
