A 7 y/o SC Boy Finds Bag full of Cash (Discarded Proceeds from a Bank Robbery gone Awry) and Turns it over to the Cops ~ Call Michael A. Haber, Esq. @ 1-888-SHARK-8-1

Meet 7 y/o Griffin Steele, an extraordinary 7 y/o South Carolina boy who fortuitously found a bag full of cash (which turns out to have been taken in a bank robbery) and turned it over to the cops.

En route to Toys 'R Us young Griffin and his dad pulled into a gas station in Horry County, South Carolina and, in his own words:  "I got thirsty so we went into the store. But before we went in I found this $20 bill and it had this red dye on it.  I had some wrapping from my Gatorade bottle so I went to the trash can so I threw it in and there was tons of money with red dye on it."

Griffin's father, Shane Steele, explained that:  "I asked the lady at the register, 'Can you use your pen and mark this and see if it's real?' And she said it's real.", so Shane made a call to 911 and learned about the earlier bank robbery.

The bank robbery suspect, Brian Wilson Humphreys, Jr., has since been taken into custody (and was charged with robbing two different banks).

Meantime, young Griffin never even considered keeping the cash, telling the press that:  "There was a lot of it that didn't have the red on it but I wanted to do the right thing."

Memo to Shane Steele:  Parenting WIN!  Congrats on raising an exceptional kid.  I would like to think that my son would so the same as yours, but, being honest with myself I suspect that visions of GameStop may cloud his better judgment.
